This course will equip you with the
knowledge and confidence to reach and sustain a healthy weight for life and
is delivered to a high standard, by Infinite Joy qualified trainers, following best practice, complying with
the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines. The focus of the 12 week structured programme is to provide advice on
healthy eating and exercise towards 5% to 10% weight loss at a maximum weekly
weight loss of 0.5kg to 1kg. The
programme will incorporate behaviour change strategies as well as
interventions to encourage long term adoption of a balanced approach to
healthy eating and exercise. Service users will gain confidence by developing knowledge in
improving their diet and being encouraged to increase their physical activity
so that they can sustain a healthier lifestyle in the long-term. Service users will be taught new skills and
techniques to help them change from ‘losing weight’ to maintaining ‘weight
loss’. They will be further supported
through in-house written course material, NHS approved leaflets, 3 monthly, 6
